Eve-olution in partnership with B&Q
Progressing Gender Diversity is one of B&Q's strategic priorities. Due to the nature of our business, DIY has traditionally been more associated with the male customer/DIY product. B&Q's business is changing and the business case for gender diversity is more compelling than ever. More of our customers are female with over 70% of decisions about the home being made by women. If B&Q is to achieve its vision to meet the home improvement needs of all of its customers then its imperative to our success that we employ people who think, act and are like our customers and we truly reflect the local communities in which we trade.
Eve-olution has worked in partnership with B&Q to help progress the agenda, with particular focus on the business case for women in management. Working together we developed a 'Gender Intelligence' programme for 85 members of our HR Team. The HR team play a key role in influencing key stakeholders as part of their daily dialogue with the store & regional managers and leadership team. As part of the programme we jointly created and produced a 'Gender Diversity toolkit' aimed at providing practical ways to bring the diversity agenda, flexible working and business case alive. Eve-olution was both flexible and responsive in listening to our requirements and producing a tailored solution to meet our needs.
I would be happy to recommend the expertise of Eve-olution and we plan to continue to work with them in the future.
