Client Case Study: Lloyds TSB
In June of 2008 Lloyds TSB came to trial eve-olution's flagship programme 'Authentic Leadership (incorporating Gender IQ)'. The purpose of the attendance was to see whether any elements, of this 2 day residential event, could be incorporated into the new Catalyst programme that Lloyds TSB were about to launch in Wholesale and International Division.
The feedback from the pilot was positive and we were invited in to consult with the bank on the design of a new programme for emerging female talent. Working in partnership with the Learning & Development and Equality & Diversity teams, eve-olution were able to quickly identify the learning pieces and a 6 month development programme was launched in the Autumn of 2008.
The first cohort of 38 emerging leaders completed the programme in April 2009. The full programme consisted of eve-olution's 2 day flagship programme (Authentic Leadership) in it's entirety followed by a day on Influencing and finally a new design for the changing world called 'Adaptive and Flexible Leadership'. The learning was supported by close relationships with senior level mentors so that delegates were able to put the learning into practise and get the support needed for behaviour change where necessary. Most importantly, perhaps, the whole programme had very high visibility and was sponsored by the Managing Director of Corporate Banking - Diana Brightmore-Armour.
Immediate feedback was very good. However, feedback over time - collated by the delegates themselves - has been excellent. Most of the delegates report substantial positive changes which have already lead to business activity that has more than paid for the investment in this programme.
Feedback has been so good that other divisions of Lloyds Banking Group are now looking to use the programme.
"We at Lloyds Banking Group are passionate about supporting women in business and moving them through the talent pipeline.
I was delighted to have sponsored the Lloyds TSB Catalyst Programme and Tracey's Authentic Leadership course provided valuable advice to delegates to supplement their development and learning.
I'm driving initiatives like Catalyst to create a powerful group of future female leaders that will have the full range of talent and skills to support our business and our customers."
Diana Brightmore-Armour, CEO Corporate Banking and Co-Head Corporate Markets, Lloyds Banking Group
